                “Distance makes the heart grow fonder. “ How true this saying could be? Do we have to take long-distance relationships seriously?

                Being in a relationship is no joke. We should be mature enough in handling this kind of situation especially when you’re in a miles away relationship.

                They say that this kind of relationship is not working out because the one you love is physically absent. So the far away lovers will be tempted to search for the love that their partners can’t give due to the distance between them.

                But how can we overcome this temptation? Is there a way not to deal with it? Yes, indeed. With the love and trust that your partner is giving you, there’s no reason for you to take this temptation. This is just temporary happiness. This will only lead us to commit sin and worst; this will be the reason why our special one will leave us hanging, lonely and broken.

                I, myself, was in and still in a long-distance relationship. I would say that you cannot avoid seeing other people who are more attractive than the one you loved. But that was only staring and not committing to another relationship.

                “Distance makes the heart grow fonder. “ I truly believe in this saying. Me and the one I love were still loving and caring each other for almost 3 years. For you to have this kind of bonding like us, there are only three words that I could impart to you. Trust, loyalty and of course, love. Keep in touch with each other even though you’re not together physically. Love conquers all and there’s nothing impossible when you put God between you and the one you love.

EXO, Hwaiting! (EXO, Fighting!)

                Korean popular music or simply K-Pop is definitely a trend nowadays. Even though we don’t really understand the lyrics of their songs, we’re still hooked into those. Upbeat, modern style, catchy tunes and cute singers and dancers. These were the reasons why we can’t get enough of K-Pop. And speaking of K-Pop, EXO is one of the Korean groups creating their names in music industry.

                Why do girls go gaga over them? Why do they love them? Simply because they’re EXOtic! Why do I say EXOtic? Because they (fans) believe that the group was made by the gods. Embracing the concept that EXO have super powers and they even have a planet of their own called, EXO planet.

                EXO is a 12-member Korean and Chinese boy band. The group was separated into 2 sub-groups: EXO-K and EXO-M. Composed of Baekhyun, D.O, Suho, Sehun, Chanyeol and Kai of EXO-K plus Chen, Xiumin, Kris, Tao, Lay and Luhan of EXO-M, the group made their break on 2013.

Last year was the time that EXO showcased their talents. The effort of the group didn’t go to waste because their songs topped music charts. Two of their songs were “Wolf” and “Growl” and their albums including “XOXO” won the Mnet Asian Music Awards 2013 for the Album of the Year. The said album broke sales records that gained the prestigious award.

 

                After being trained for several years, the group is doing their best in entertaining their audience and especially their fans. With the support of the ones who loved them, there are no doubts that the group will achieve the success that they were striving for.

                I could say that I am one of the supporters of EXO especially EXO-K’s Chanyeol and EXO-M’s Lay and Luhan. They were my biases. And I wish them good health and keep on doing their best to entertain us, their fans. Saranghae, EXO! XOXO! Hwaiting!

PDAF: Constructive or Destructive?

                2013 was a year of controversies and calamities that our country had faced and still facing up to now. War in Zamboanga, earthquake in Bohol and Cebu, super typhoon in Leyte and Samar, and the PDAF or Pork Barrel Scam. The latter had a great impact on our country and really affected all citizens that were concerned with the sake of our economy.

                Priority Development Assistance Fund or PDAF is the money allocated to “soft” and “hard” projects of representatives of different district areas here in the Philippines. “Soft” projects include scholarships, medical assistance, livelihood support programs and other assistance to local government units while “hard” projects include infrastructures like buildings, roads, bridges and the like.

                PDAF would be useful if it was used in a proper and clean way. But with the way our government was being governed by other corrupt officials, this fund would only go to their pockets.

                To prevent this kind of corruption, the Filipino citizens wanted it to be abolished. It (PDAF) would only lead to severe problem that may be added to the burden that we’re carrying. We hope and pray that this anomaly would come to an end.
